It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lucas Wade Mullins, age 15, of Vidalia, Louisiana. Lucas passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, leaving behind a family and community in mourning. His bright spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Lucas was a young man with an infectious smile and a love for life that touched the lives of so many. His loss is a heartbreaking tragedy for his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Funeral services for Lucas will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Vidalia, with Pastor Jerry Sharp officiating. The service will celebrate Lucas’s life, remembering the joy and light he brought into the world. His family and loved ones will gather to share memories, offer their love and support, and honor the beautiful life Lucas lived. Following the service, Lucas will be laid to rest at the Natchez City Cemetery, where he will find eternal peace. The burial will be under the care of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on the morning of Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Vidalia. This time will allow family, friends, and members of the community to come together to mourn, offer condolences, and celebrate the life of a remarkable young person. Lucas was full of promise and had a bright future ahead of him. His legacy will live on through the memories of those who loved him.
