NAMES THAT CARRIED MEANING, LIVES THAT CARRIED IMPACT

Jaimon Gilstrap, a transportation department staff member with Tulsa Public Schools, was remembered for his dedication and service. Donald “DJ” Laster, a Booker T. Washington High School alumnus, and Wayne Walls, a former Carver Middle School coach and teacher, were also among the victims, leaving behind legacies in education and mentorship. Tragically, 14-year-old student Kyron Gilstrap was also lost, a young life full of promise and potential. In the other vehicle, Alexander R. Ernst, John D. Elliott, Madalyn N. Elliott, and Norleen L. Elliott also lost their lives, deepening the scale of this heartbreaking tragedy.
