According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the driver of the Volkswagen Jetta was attempting to make the U-turn when she collided with a 2022 Volkswagen Taos driven by a 62-year-old man. The Taos also had a 77-year-old woman as a passenger at the time of the crash. Both vehicles sustained severe damage, and the impact of the crash caused significant injuries to all involved. The two drivers and the elderly passenger were immediately transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment.
