San Rafael, California – The San Rafael community is grieving the tragic loss of Lucia Jennifer Blandina Sontay Vicente, a 19-year-old resident who was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning, January 14, near the intersection of Point San Pedro Road and Summit Avenue. The devastating collision occurred at approximately 8:40 a.m., during a busy morning commute.

According to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, a preliminary investigation conducted by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) determined that Lucia was walking near or within a crosswalk when she was struck by a green Toyota Tundra.
