Wrong-Way, High-Speed Crash Near Moline Acres Claims Life of 22-Year-Old Mother


The fatal collision occurred on Friday, January 2, on southbound Route 367 just south of Chambers Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Investigators said Arianna Elliott was driving a 2015 Mazda 3 when it collided with a 2016 Chrysler 300 that had lost control. Authorities reported the Chrysler crossed over the solid yellow line, entering the southbound lanes and striking Elliott’s vehicle.

Troopers said Elliott’s Mazda impacted the driver-side passenger door of the Chrysler with significant force. One passenger inside the Chrysler was pronounced dead at the scene, while Elliott was rushed to a nearby hospital. Despite emergency medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries early Saturday morning, January 3.

In addition to the two fatalities, four other passengers traveling in the two vehicles suffered moderate to serious injuries and were transported for medical treatment. A second female victim, identified as a 26-year-old, was also killed in the crash but had not been publicly identified at the time of reporting.

The tragic loss of Arianna Elliott has deeply affected those who knew her. Family members described her as a devoted and loving mother, whose life was centered around caring for her young son. In her honor, relatives have organized a GoFundMe fundraiser to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as provide ongoing financial support for her child’s care, needs, and future stability.
