Remembering Mikayla Marie Williams: A Brilliant Light Taken Too Soon
“I’m lost without you – And there’s nothing I can do – You’re the one I can’t go without…” These lyrics by Nickelback resonate deeply as we reflect on the life of Mikayla Marie Williams, a young soul who brightened every room she entered. Born on September 23rd, 2005, Mikayla passed away peacefully on January 4th, 2026, leaving a profound impact on all who knew her.
Mikayla was not just a daughter, sister, and friend—she was a vibrant spirit, known for her infectious smile, quick wit, and unwavering kindness. Her artistic talents were nothing short of remarkable, capturing the beauty of life through her paintings and drawings. But it wasn’t just her art that stood out—Mikayla had an incredible love for animals, dedicating much of her time volunteering at Lava’s Lost and Forgotten Felines, a local cat rescue where she helped rescue and rehome cats in need.
Her heart was as big as her talent, and her commitment to mental health awareness was a testament to her compassionate nature. Mikayla’s dedication to helping others, both human and animal, will forever be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, Mikayla’s family asks that contributions be made in her memory to Lava’s Lost and Forgotten Felines or To Write Love on Her Arms, an organization dedicated to mental health awareness.
