Alicia Shaffer of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Passes Away: Cherished Wife and Friend Remembered


It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alicia Shaffer of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her untimely death has left a profound void in the lives of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Alicia’s vibrant spirit, boundless compassion, and infectious warmth touched countless lives, and her loss is felt by all who loved her.

Alicia was a woman of extraordinary kindness, intelligence, and humor. With an open heart, she consistently put others’ needs above her own, making those around her feel seen, heard, and deeply valued. She was more than just a devoted wife to Jason Shaffer; she was his soulmate, best friend, and the constant light in his life. Together, they shared a remarkable 15 years, building a relationship founded on love, laughter, and unwavering support.

Tragically, Alicia’s life was cut short following an emergency room visit that revealed two brain tumors. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, complications from a biopsy took her from this world. Throughout her illness, Alicia remained her bright and thoughtful self, even ensuring Jason was cared for in her final moments, reminding staff to bring him snacks and his favorite Diet Cokes and McDonald’s fries.

Alicia’s legacy of love, joy, and selflessness will live on forever. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jason, and a close-knit circle of family and friends. Her memory will continue to shine in every life she touched, and her impact remains immeasurable.
