A Father’s Final Act of Courage and Love

The Lake Perris community is mourning the tragic loss of Anthony Warren, a 54-year-old father whose final moments were spent in a heroic act that saved the life of his young son. On what should have been a peaceful day on the water, tragedy struck when their kayak capsized near Moreno Beach. Without lifejackets and with the water working against them, the situation turned dangerous in seconds. Witnesses reported hearing desperate cries for help as the child struggled to stay above water, clinging tightly to his father who was already losing consciousness.
