The Cincinnati community is mourning the devastating loss of 52-year-old James Bond, whose life was tragically cut short during a violent shooting aboard a Metro bus early Saturday morning. According to the Cincinnati Police Department, officers were dispatched shortly after 5:30 a.m. on May 16, 2026, to the 3400 block of Dury Avenue near Erkenbrecher Avenue following reports of gunfire aboard a Route 46 Metro bus. When officers arrived, they found James Bond suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside the vehicle.
Emergency responders immediately began life-saving efforts, but despite their swift response, James was pronounced dead at the scene. The sudden and violent nature of the incident has left the community struggling to process the loss of a life taken far too soon.
