The trauma of these moments doesn’t simply vanish when the “all-clear” is given; it lingers in the nervous glances and the heavy hearts of every family involved.

To the person behind the “eye-catching” headlines of a swatting incident, it may seem like a game, but to the parents waiting frantically outside the police tape, it is a living nightmare.
