Born on April 10, 1992, in Southfield, Michigan, Dillon’s journey was marked by determination and a deep love for both sport and engineering. His passing has created a profound void in the hearts of those who knew him, as they reflect on a life that ended far too soon.
A Champion On and Off the Field
Dillon was more than an engineer—he was a gifted athlete and competitor from a young age. Raised in Ann Arbor, he developed a strong passion for hockey and went on to compete at elite levels with teams such as Honey Baked Ham and Little Caesars, achieving world championship success. He also excelled in roller hockey with Team Next, earning national titles and building a reputation for skill, discipline, and teamwork. His competitive spirit extended beyond sports into every aspect of his life. He later attended University of Alaska Anchorage, where he studied mechanical engineering and became involved with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). There, he embraced new environments and outdoor adventures, often hiking Alaska’s vast landscapes with his beloved dog, Max.

After graduation, Dillon returned to Michigan and began his career as a product development engineer with Ford Motor Company, where he contributed to major engineering projects with pride and dedication. Beyond his professional achievements, he was remembered as a warm, humorous, and adventurous individual who valued deep connections with family and friends. He shared meaningful moments with his parents, siblings, niece, nephew, and his loyal dog Max, building memories filled with laughter, travel, and shared passions. He was a devoted supporter of Detroit sports teams and enjoyed exploring life through new experiences. Dillon’s legacy will continue through the scholarship established in his name and the countless lives he touched. Though his time was cut short, his impact, spirit, and memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
