A Night Crash That Ended in Tragedy
The community of Cockeysville is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 18-year-old Ryan Duvall, who died in a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Poplar Hill Road and Merrymans Mill Road.
According to Baltimore County Police Department, officers responded around 9:45 p.m. on May 1 after reports of a serious crash. Investigators say the vehicle was traveling southbound when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
Ryan Duvall, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Multiple Injuries as Investigation Continues
Authorities confirmed that three juveniles were also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver and one passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, while a second passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not yet determined why the vehicle left the roadway, and the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
Officials are continuing to gather evidence, examine roadway conditions, and review all contributing factors.
