A tragic shooting occurred Monday afternoon at the Chipotle restaurant on the 1100 block of Montgomery Avenue, just steps from Temple University’s campus in North Philadelphia, leaving a juvenile victim dead and the community reeling.

According to Philadelphia police, a boy was found shot inside a Chipotle bathroom around 5 p.m. on January 12, 2026. The young victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, was discovered by a restaurant employee and later pronounced dead at the scene.
