The Hyattsville, Maryland, community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Gustavo Escamilla, who died in a tragic car accident, leaving behind a profound sense of sorrow among family, friends, and all who knew him. Originally from Washington, D.C., Gustavo was a proud Parkdale High School alumnus whose life was deeply rooted in loyalty, joy, and meaningful connections.

From a young age, Gustavo formed bonds that lasted a lifetime. Many of his closest friendships were built through faith, having grown up attending the same church with people who would become more like family than friends. Adelicia Bravo Diaz, who lovingly referred to him as her “cousin,” shared that Gustavo had a rare ability to make everyone feel like family.
