Early Morning Crash in Roseville Sends One to Hospital
Roseville, CA – The Roseville community was shaken Friday morning after a two-vehicle crash at the busy intersection of Douglas Boulevard and Sierra College Boulevard left at least one person injured. The incident occurred at approximately 6:05 a.m. on January 9, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
CHP reports indicate the collision involved a white Ford Mustang and a gray Toyota sedan. Initial emergency calls suggested a multi-vehicle collision, but responders later confirmed that only two vehicles were involved. Airbags were deployed, and one driver was reported unable to exit their vehicle, prompting immediate medical attention due to the risk of head or other injuries.
Emergency personnel, including CHP officers, fire crews, and local law enforcement, responded promptly to the scene. At least one person sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, and there is no record of arrests related to the incident at this time.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. CHP has not yet released details regarding possible contributing factors such as speed, failure to yield, or impairment.
