VIRGINIA — The Virginia community, alongside the students, staff, and families of A.G. Wright Middle School, is mourning the loss of a beloved educator, Bethany “Beth” Augrom, whose sudden passing has left a profound void in their hearts. Beth’s unexpected death on January 9, 2026, marks the end of a remarkable life dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and inspiring young minds.
Beth was more than just a teacher. She was a mentor, a guide, and a beacon of support for her students. Known for her deep compassion and commitment to her role, she fostered a learning environment that went beyond textbooks. Beth believed that education was not just about academic success, but also about emotional resilience, social growth, and nurturing curiosity. Her classroom was a safe space where students were encouraged to express themselves, explore their potential, and feel truly valued.
