Her sudden death has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, and her impact is being felt across Fredericksburg, Virginia, and beyond.

Bethany was widely admired for her dedication to education and her unwavering commitment to the success and well-being of her students. At G. Wright Middle School, she was known as a compassionate and inspiring educator whose classroom was a safe, encouraging space where students felt valued and motivated to reach their full potential. Colleagues remember her professionalism, warmth, and positive spirit, qualities that made her not only an exceptional teacher but also a trusted friend and mentor.

Outside the classroom, Bethany was deeply engaged in the community. She was a longtime FAME Allstars Stafford parent, where her support and presence were felt throughout the gym community. In a message of remembrance, FAME Allstars Stafford expressed deep sorrow, sharing that Bethany’s kindness and impact will never be forgotten. In response to this tragic loss, a Meal Train has been organized to support the Augrom family, with community members invited to contribute meals, gift cards, or donations. Meal drop-offs are requested on Mondays and Fridays.

Bethany was a devoted wife to Pete Augrom, a former Stafford County Public Schools teacher and former Wegmans Food Markets employee. Originally from Wyoming, New York, Bethany carried a strong sense of care and connection into every community she touched.
