Parrish, FL – Fund Established for Dayspring Director After Tragic Death of Son Johnathan Everett Boley

A heartbreaking tragedy struck the family of Angel Boley, the guest services director at Dayspring Episcopal Conference Center, after the death of her 4-year-old son, Johnathan Everett Boley. Johnathan was last seen on December 31, 2025, during a holiday visitation with his father, Jameson Kyle Boley, at their home in Jasper, Alabama. Wearing a yellow Mickey Mouse shirt, black pants, and Paw Patrol shoes, Johnathan disappeared near Highway 195 around 11:30 a.m. While playing with the family dog, Buck, he vanished without a trace. His 6-year-old brother was the last to see him. For the next few days, authorities, including local law enforcement and the FBI, conducted an intense search across the surrounding area.

On January 2, 2026, volunteers found Johnathan’s body about two miles away from his father’s home in a wooded area near a creek. The family dog, Buck, was found alive beside him. Walker County Sheriff Nick Smith confirmed the discovery during a press conference, describing Johnathan as an adventurous child who loved being outdoors. Despite the exhaustive search, the tragic outcome of the boy’s disappearance has left family, friends, and the broader community in shock and mourning.

In response to this devastating loss, the Episcopal Diocese of Southwest Florida has established a fund to support Angel Boley during this incredibly difficult time. The fund was created to assist with the emotional and financial burdens that come with such a tragedy, including the costs associated with Johnathan’s search and the ongoing needs of Angel Boley as she grieves the loss of her son. The Diocese, which oversees Dayspring in Parrish, has pledged that 100% of donations made to this fund will go directly to Boley. The community has rallied behind her, with many offering their support and condolences, recognizing the deep pain she is enduring after such a devastating loss.

While the search for Johnathan was ongoing, authorities discovered explosives at the home of his father, Jameson Kyle Boley. He was arrested and charged with unlawful manufacturing of a destructive device and two counts of chemical endangerment of a child. However, authorities have stated that these charges are unrelated to Johnathan’s disappearance and death. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy continues, as law enforcement works to piece together the events that led to such a heartbreaking outcome. As the community mourns the loss of a young life, the support for Angel Boley and her family remains unwavering, with many hoping that this fund can provide some comfort during such a painful and difficult time.
