On the night of December 2, 2025, deputies responded to an explosive domestic disturbance involving 24-year-old Alexis Page Champagne at a residence in Ocklawaha, Florida. The incident began after Champagne allegedly became enraged when her boyfriend—who is also the father of her child—refused to give her the keys to his vehicle. Deputies say Champagne intended to use the car to go see another man, and when denied, the argument rapidly escalated into an intense physical confrontation. When law enforcement arrived, they observed redness around Champagne’s neck and a fresh cut across the bridge of her nose. She claimed that her boyfriend had placed his hands around her neck and punched her during the argument over the car keys. Champagne admitted she yelled and screamed at him and hit his phone out of his hand because she did not want to be recorded.

Her boyfriend told deputies a very different story. He stated Champagne had been cheating and demanded to use his vehicle to meet with another man. When he refused, she allegedly struck his hand multiple times to make him drop the phone he was using to record her. According to reports, she grabbed a bottle of rubbing alcohol and threatened to pour it on him. When he blocked her from entering his bedroom, she went outside and broke his bedroom window before returning inside to tear apart the room, “demolishing” it in search of his keys. While he stood by the closet door, Champagne allegedly shoved him with enough force to knock him back into a wall, prompting him to physically push her away.

Recordings taken during the altercation captured Champagne saying she wanted to invite another man over. As she walked toward the front door, she picked up a wooden duck head from a lamp and threw it at her boyfriend. She then struck his hand twice to make him drop the phone and threatened to spit in his face. In another recording, her boyfriend said, “Hit me again and you’re going to jail,” to which Champagne responded that she only touched his phone, not him. She pushed him again, and he pushed her into the corner of a wall. Champagne then went outside, and while her boyfriend returned to his bedroom, she broke another window. She came back in, continued the verbal fight, then grabbed a boot from her room and threatened to hit him with it if he came any closer. The final video showed the boyfriend using her phone to speak with her mother, only for Champagne to snatch it from him before removing both her socks and throwing them at him. Deputies later arrested Alexis Page Champagne on charges of domestic battery and simple assault. She was transported to the Marion County Jail and is being held without bond.
