Around 1:20 p.m., a minivan slowed to make a left turn when a logging semi-truck traveling behind it failed to stop in time and rear-ended the vehicle, causing major damage to the minivan and serious injuries to its occupants.

Two women were inside the minivan at the time of the crash. The passenger suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital, while the driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance. Fortunately, the semi-truck driver was unharmed, but the impact left a scene of devastation on the highway.
